THE BRAND

I came across this brand on a trip with my boyfriend to Sardinia, Italy. We were at the airport going home and even though it wasn’t that late in the evening, most of the shops were closed. Something caught my eye. It was a rack of super cute bathing suits and bikinis in the front window of a shop. We were on our way to the gate and didn’t have time to stop for very long, but I just had to get a bit closer and take a quick look. I took note of the name – I can’t remember if it was the name of the store or if I saw it on the hang tags on the clothes, but I googled my way to their website and started reading about the brand. I soon realized that this was a brand to my liking:

At the heart of the brand are consciously produced designs that evoke a sense of summer and a spirit of travel, for those chasing the sun all year round.

"Consciously produced designs " is music to my ears, and "chasing the sun all year round" fits me perfectly! When I think about it, this is me in a nutshell: sustainability is close to my heart, and even though I don't travel to sunny places all year round, I for sure chase the sun wherever I am. I always gaze longingly out the window whenever the sun is out, and when sitting outside, I move my chair in order to keep those amazing sun rays hitting my face. I'd rather get blinded by the sun than staying in the shade.

Manebí offers both women's and men's products, including swimwear, loungewear, shoes, bags, and other accessories. Their website is beautiful with inspiring photos, the prices are fair, shipping is fast (I only tried shipping to Norway), and the customer service is great! In addition, the cherry on the sundae, is that the packaging is a gift in itself - at least for the shoes; the shoebox is pretty (can be used for storage) and the shoes come with a super cute shoe bag.

This is a high-quality brand with a clear focus on sustainability. In addition to offering beautiful products, which are ethically and locally made, they have "embraced a social corporate responsibility strategy aimed through small steps at offering its contribution to guarantee a better future for the next generations." I also love that they have teamed up with Treedom, "a website that allows to plant trees at a distance and follow their progress over time" in order to reduce carbon dioxin emissions.

I quickly fell in love with their loafers! Being unemployed and pretty broke, I told myself this was a luxury I couldn't afford, but I kept coming back to them in my mind, so I kept checking if they were still available in my size until it said "only two left" and since I after about two months still were thinking about them (and I had wanted I pair of good quality loafers for many years) I decided this was going to be a late Christmas present for myself! I'm SUPER HAPPY with them! I use them every day and they still look new! I'm sure they'll be my favorite (and only) pair of loafers for many years to come :)
