Food, Pool, Friends, & A Little Luxury

I had sooo much fun with Jill while being stuck in the Bay Area! I'm really glad she told me yes when I called her from the airport and asked if she was still living there. Her and her family are the best hosts ever! Both times staying with them I felt so at home and their hospitality is amazing! Saturday night we went to a bar in Livermore (where they live) to see Jill's friend's dad perform with his band. They played 70s and 80s rock - so fun! We had a small group there of super nice people; two of them, plus Jill's boyfriend, I knew from before so it was really nice seeing them again! And like you guys saw in the last post, I explored Downtown Pleasanton by myself during the day Sunday while Jill was working, and after that we ate at this really fancy Chinese restaurant, and then watched a movie at home (we watched Overboard, which was really funny and was set in Oregon AND had both Norwegian music and some Norwegian actors in it haha!).

My last full day there we met up with two of Jill's friends for lunch/mimosas. After that we hung out by the pool at Jill's boyfriend's house, ate at In-N-Out and then went to see a movie - we saw The Spy Who Dumped Me; it was actually really funny! Recommend! The movie theatre was one of those with the big recliner seats and a table you could pull out in front of you - got a glass of red wine and life was fantastic.

Like I mentioned, I travelled Business class home; so i got to use the lounge at the airport where they had a dining room where everything on the menu was complimentary(!!!). I had a four-course dinner, a glass of wine, and a cup of tea - it was great!

Anbefales!
